As you move through the library of the Sega Saturn, you will approach many games that will fit your taste perfectly. If you are an arcade kid in the heart then the Sega Saturn retro gaming system is perfect for you. You can also play it on your Retro Console (watch it working).
There are so many ways to go about unraveling the mysteries of this game’s story. Your choices determine your path and there is a robust fighting engine behind it. The better you get at this retro game the more you start to understand the moves and combo system. Guardian Heroes will allow you to fight your opponents. The visuals are unique with a lot of scaling transparencies and massive sprites. The two-player co-op was joined by six players for competitive play. Guardian Heroes is a retro game you will want to play with your friends. Play it on your Retro Console.
This retro game took the gameplay everybody knew and improved the speed and intensity. With the extended RAM cartridge Sega Sturn gave the home version chance. Marvel superheroes versus street fighters, the cast of fighters, and the quality of the conversion are impressive.
SHINING THE HOLY ARK
Shining The Holy Ark is one of the more original retro games you can play on Sega Saturn. It takes place in the first person, and the story is interesting. It is essentially a prequel to the Shining Force 3. This retro game covers issues like possession and revenge. It leans more toward a mature level of storytelling. The visuals have a mix of 2D and 3D engines that holds up well. The soundtrack has the staples of town exploration, buying items to improve stats, random battles, and plot twists. This game is better than Shining In The Darkness. The battle system will keep you entertained with pixie helpers and a choice of 8 playable characters. Play it on your Retro Console.
MYSTARIA REALMS OF LORE
It is a retro strategy game you need to play. The story opens up with the horrific defeat at the hands of bane, the powerful war mage who has returned to rule Queensland. They also rule the continent of Mystaria by force. Prince Aragon must rally warriors to your calls and take back the homeland. The gameplay uses the typical grid-based movement. The real treat is the ability to learn many different attacks and spells. It depends on how you play to do so. The cast of playable heroes is large and varied. There are dragons, archers, and Hawkman. Mystaria Realms Of Lore is done by the micro cabin which means that it has the stilted choppy feeling.
THE STREET FIGHTER ALPHA
The Street Fighter Alpha series appeared first during the Sega Sturn’s generation. All three games were released within their lifetime. Part 3 expanded the single-player options added a lot more fighters, and gave multiplayer mode. It has great visuals as detail and animation were high-quality. You can battle two CPU-controlled fighters. To win, you’ll need to have skills that add an intensity that one on one battles don’t have. My favorite game that I play on my Retro Console.
Guided by the Egyptian Pharaon Ramses the world in this retro game is open for you to explore. Objects are hidden everywhere and power-ups make new areas accessible all the time. Alien forces have taken over the Karnak Valley and you need to find ancient relics to gain the power you need to stop them. The environment is fully 3D and much more impressive than most other first-person shooting games. You can have platforming, exploration, permanent power-ups, swimming, and other features that made this game great. Play it on your Retro Console.
This retro game has beautiful visuals and a soundtrack from the orchestral gods. It has a war-ravaged world, a sense of scale in its environment, and amazing art design. From the moment the opening video begins rolling you are treated to a powerful journey full of action and excitement. Each stage represents a new area of the world you are in. The varieties in those visuals placed this game at the top.
This is a Sega Sturn racing retro game with only four tracks, a few cars, and a time attack. It has a very simple split-screen mode compared to racing games today. The Sega Arcade Racers provided the joy of driving a car. There are other obstacles in the way and timers you need to have in mind. What makes this retro game best is the way you could handle the car, the music in the background, and the set pieces you pass along the road. All of those things formed a feeling of excitement. Sega Rally has nice visuals, frame rate, farther draw distance, and superior texture. Despite the limited features, it is still playable today. My favorite game that I play on my Retro Console.
SHINING FORCE 3
The story and characters of this retro game are what made it so popular. A nefarious force is pushing two countries to war. It is up to you to find out why and stop it. You get areas that let you explore and talk to people. You will also get battles where you need to survive to move on to the next area. The best part of this retro game was all the missions you needed to win to see more. Shining Force 3 is also a game with beautiful visuals. Exploration is composed of 3D environments and 2D sprites. Battle switched to 3D models to showcase all the effects. This retro game has some of the best strategy play on the retro gaming system. Play it on your Retro Console.
Dragon Force is one of the best games on the Sega Saturn. To play this game you need to develop your game plan. That is the only way you can defeat various armies. March the map with the specific troop type and face each battle. Use formations and special attacks the best you can. Challenge and strategy made Dragon Force a special game. It is a 2D game that presented the power of the Sega Saturn.
